BFSLS shall be fully committed to support adults with intellectual developmental disabilities; in living where and with whom they wish, exercising meaningful choices and control in their daily lives, work toward full membership within the community, obtain their long-range personal goals and in experiencing flexibility and quality of life towards their changing needs.
BFSLS program is designed to assist consumers in skills that will help keep them healthy and safe in their respective homes and or surrounding communities. The services that BFSLS provides is centered around supporting its consumers to:
BFSLS will provide support and assistance to adults with intellectual developmental disabilities to; establish and maintain a safe and independent life in homes they own, lease or rent, make meaningful choices and are supported toward their personal immediate and future goals, build relationships with family, friends or neighbors including their circle of support, actively participate in the community and access community resources and generic service, and service that reflect their individual preferences and needs which will contribute to their safety and quality of life.

No your child must be 18 years of age to live in SLS. In some cases a waiver can be obtained but this is only in very specific circumstances.
